My last memory of dad, Aug.21st, 1929 - June 30th, 2014

Luke 16:20-22 Lazarus was laid -- or carried by others --when he couldn't walk by himself, and then the angels carried him to heaven.  My dad was a pillar, he was the head of the family to make decisions and support a wife and five children.  He worked hard, as long as he was able to.  Then the time came when others had to make the decisions for him, he was more and more dependent on others until the angels carried him to heaven.
Werner was a tall, strong man, a pillar of support to many in all of Germany.  He made decisions for others, he wrote many letters of encouragement...until one day he became so weak in body and mind that others had to made decisions for him.  He became more and more dependent until he couldn't do anything for himself -- willing to be carried -- until the angels came to carry his soul to heaven.
