Königsee Lake

This is where we saw the first snow of the season!  On one day just the two of us took the cable car up the Jenner and looked across at the Watzmann where my hubby was climbing.  For me the highlight of the boat ride across the Königsee lake was when it stopped in the middle and our guide blew short melodies on his trumpet, which the echo repeated clearly from the mountains.  Willy was very interested in watching the ice tobogganers shooting around the curves on the ice track  and then even going head first, called "skeleton" sledding.
