Hello from USA!

Driving south from Denver we could sometimes see black areas left from the fires near Colorado Springs.
It was perfect weather for swimming in the backyard, where we could also pick fresh peaches from the tree with these pretty little girls in Pueblo.

So special to see my dear 92-yr-old Aunt, with my sister and niece in Eaton.

Here we are in Nebraska, where we met up with friends in Ogallala,
and this is Gothenburg on the way....

to my home town, Kearney!   where the trains are long -- this one has 5 engines in front and one at the back of the train.  There are trains going both ways at the crossing.

Here we are in downtown Kearney, which looks pretty much the same as ever, except for some new little shops to discover...

1773 miles to both coasts -- the same distance to San Fransisco or to Boston.

Dad goes to this fitnes studio at the hospital where he has a discount because he used to work here,  (and where he meets people he knows)  and I could go 10 x free as a guest.  We drove the car and took the elevator to work on the machines in an airconditioned room.

Dad took his grandson and Kayla, (another girl his age) to the Buffalo County Fair where we saw these big tractors, got free food and entertainment, and admired the farm animals.

The two kids enjoyed hanging upside down on this thrilling ride!

These young people gave a concert for the old people at the nursing home in Grand Island.  With four violins, piano accompiament, singing in four parts, and indivdual piano solos.

90-yr-old Ines still remembered me, and enjoyed the concert very much!

Edith is 93 years old, and still enjoys playing the organ.  We had a nice evening playing music.  She's another one who has known me since I was born.

My3 girl friends that I had played with in my childhood met at the children's museum with some of their children and grand-children. Special to see our children playing together like we had done years ago.
